As soon as I read about today I immediately thought how cool it would be to have running on the N800. Unfortunatley this is an impossible dream for now as the Minimo browser does not currently support the installation of .xpi extensions.
If it did we might enjoy in offline sync mode, which would make for a fantastic commute companion… If you’ve had success here where I’ve failed, please let me know so we can get the word out!

I’m writing this post with WordPy, the maemo wordpress blog editor and I really like it. Version .3 includes advanced editing (enabling read more and excerpts) as well as technorati tags, which really getting pretty close to complete in my book.
If I can sort out a bookmarklet to send to WordPy I’d have a complete system for blogging in stream with my reading.

Be sure to check the new Maemo.org site as it’s just been redesigned, and looks great. Should be a much easier experience for everyone!
Great job guys!

The team at WomWorld were kind enough to send out a Navkit for review and it arrived this morning. I’ve only had a few minutes to play with it so far, but I can say it’s an impressive piece of kit! Inside the box is an everything you need to get going - GPS, Maps on a 2GB MiniSD, and Windshield Mount! This definitely justifies the $239 price I’ve seen on NokiaUSA.com.
The maps are easy to read, easy to use with either stylus or finger and there seems to be a good number of POI loaded to help you find your way to various new places of interest. I’ve only just begun to see what this accessory package can offer. Here’s a video overview of the unboxing and my initial experience with the software.
